Le Musée de la Poupée – Doll Museum

Two weeks ago, I visited the Musée de la Poupée with my friend Isobel. It is located in the 3rd arrondissement of Paris, very close to Centre Pompidou. It’s not a very big museum and the visit takes about 45 minutes to an hour but it is very interesting. It has over 500 dolls dating back from the 1800’s. There are dolls made out of fabric, porcelain, paper mache, rubber and plastic along with little dolls houses, tea sets, shoes, clothing etc.

I can imagine this place feeling rather creepy at night. My favourite things were the little shoes and perfectly made doll dresses. It is definitely worth a visit if you are looking for something a little different to do in Paris.
