Midnight in Paris is one of my favourite films of all time. No matter how many times I watch it, Paris looks more beautiful each time and I have to pinch myself because I pass by the same boulevards and bridges as the movie on the regular.
I recognized many of the locations in the film but couldn’t figure out where Owen Wilson was picked up at midnight. After some research, I realized it was at the steps of the Saint-Étienne-du-Mont church. It is right behind the Pantheon in the Latin Quarter so I made it my mission to visit!
It took me a little while to figure out where exactly the scene was shot but once I found it, it was so surreal. The steps are right at the corner of Place de l’Abbé Basset & Rue Sainte-Geneviève. For a second, I felt like I was living the movie and a vintage Peugeot would come and pick me up any minute!
