Last week, my friend Surabhi was in town. We hadn’t seen each other for about 10 years. Over the years, thanks to Facebook & WhatsApp, we kept in touch and finally had a reunion in Paris. Even after so many years, we got on so well together.
We decided to visit Galeries Lafayette together to check out the Christmas Tree. Every year, it’s a different style. Last year it was upside down, hanging from the ceiling. This year’s tree is so beautiful, we were in awe. It’s called “Christmas from Another Planet” and the theme is cosmic with gold and silver meteors.
Galeries Lafayette, even without the Christmas tree, is a gorgeous building with a beautiful dome ceiling but with the addition of the Christmas decorations, it was even more magical. I have never really experienced Christmas in winter so it’s been so lovely to be in Paris during the holiday season.
